Terms of use

Your agreement with ACPL

Namaa Capital is a platform operated by Abbasi and Company (Private) Limited (“ACPL”), a TREC holder of the Pakistan Stock Exchange regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and ACPL and govern all use of this website.

By accessing, browsing or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms. We may update them at any time, with or without notice. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.

Shariah compliance

Namaa Capital is the Shariah window of Abbasi and Company (Private) Limited, and Meezan Bank serves as its Shariah Advisor. Screening follows the published criteria used for the KSE Meezan Index, as set out on our screening page. Compliance is assessed at the time of screening and can change when a company publishes new accounts. Thresholds are determined by the Shariah advisory process behind the index and may be revised.

Screening is not a fatwa. It is the systematic application of published criteria, and scholars differ on thresholds and on particular structures. Nothing on this site should be taken as a religious ruling, and ACPL does not represent that any investment will be considered compliant by every scholar or authority. Investors who require a specific ruling should consult a scholar of their choosing.

Purification

Where purification amounts are calculated and reported, the figures are derived from companies’ published accounts and are provided in good faith for your assistance. Discharging the obligation remains the investor’s responsibility.
